First time director Michael Wechsler teamed with screenwriter Austin Eustice and cinematographer Sean Servis to create VENUS AND MILO, an investigation of the space that exists between each and every one of us. Milo long ago gave up his childhood aspirations of being a space hero and settled into a less prestigious but more stable career in the National Space Administration. As a Master Sniffer in training, it is his job to hone his olfactory sense to detect any potentially offensive smelling items before they are shot into space. Milo finds that a strong nose is not always a blessing, though, when his relationship of convenience with Venus, a budding mortician, starts to suffer. When Milo wakes one morning to find that a model rocket has smashed his window and destroyed one of his most prized possessions, he is intrigued rather than infuriated. After finding that the rocket was launched from his reclusive neighbor's house, Milo's dreams of outer space are re-ignited.
